- Mao’s attempt to reassert his beliefs in China
- feared that others in the party might be taking more of a leader role
- youths were also encouraged to openly criticise the liberals in the Chinese Communist Party and those apparently influenced by Nikita Khruschev of the USSR.
- Red Guards (groups of youths who banded themselves together) encouraged all the youth in China to criticise those who Mao deemed untrustworthy with regards to the direction he wanted China to take.
- Mao had witnessed the removal of a potential rival in the party and therefore saw no need for the Cultural Revolution to continue

Cultural revolution
Here are facts that I found that could be helpful to my project:-
Conservative propaganda images
Here are some images that I found on the internet of David Cameron and his conservatives visiting workplaces. I plan to use these images to connect to the communist propaganda posters I've found. I shalll research into the chineese cultural revolution and other propaganda posters.

What I'm currently up to
I now have a few ideas on what to do next. My ideas are :-
- Paint on the floor
- Use a laminated see through paper to paint on then place it on the projector and see what happens
I could also try and do this. I could merge light and painting together and see what happens. I also plan the screen print one of my paintings.
London Trip
When I went to London I managed to visit loads of interesting museums and art fairs. Here were a few o works that I maned to see.

Henry Hudson
Once I had a talk with Adam James, he suggested that I look at artist Henry Hudson. He melts down plastacine with a heater, then uses his fingers to paint with it, like it were oil paint.
